In these unprecedented times, we are facing new business challenges and it has become apparent that we can not run business as usual given the new circumstances. A few tweaks are going to have to be made.
To eliminate the possible cross contamination that is inherently involved with passing bags and containers back and forth as well as the time needed to sanitize bags and containers at the point of entry into the kitchen and again immediately before use, we have realized that we need to move to disposable containers. We highly value the zero-waste model, but are finding it unsustainable during this time of high risk. We will move back as soon as it is safe.
Due to the effects of our new social distancing reality, we have also concluded we need to eliminate desserts from the meals and increase portions of the side dishes instead while these circumstances remain.
The good news is that with disposable containers, you will have nothing to return. The bad news is that we won’t be quite as light on mother earth, and you will be going without the sweet treat at the end of the meal.
These are not normal times, and we are all doing the best we can, while also caring for our collective mental health. We are excited to move back to our normal model and will do so as soon as it is safe.
